So I go to the bar and a band is playing .. pretty good, but not really my taste.  They’re walking around and I run into one of the band members and we start talking about music and I was like .. yeah I do music too but I kinda just keep to myself about it.

I ask them what the name of their band is.  And he said, we haven’t decided yet, but we’re mainly mexicans so we want to do something along the lines of our spanish roots but keep our alternative rock flavor.  I said ohh, alright that cool.  Well who did you listen to when you grew up that made you take the alternative rock route.  They said Yellowcard and Green Day and people like that.  I said “ohh I know them, yeah, I can see where you guys get that sounds from”  

So I was like, you should just take both of their names and combine it or something and I laughed afterwards just jokingly of course.  But not knowing that it was a bad thing to say at the time.

Thennn I realized .. that wasn’t such a good idea :O

He didn’t catch on .. I hope.  I didn’t wanna seem like a pompous racist asshole since I really am not, so I told him that I was just gonna head to the bathroom and meet up with my friend after.
